I love working with small companies, especially if they’re womxn owned - and I can relate even more if they’re mom-owned. One of my favorite long-time clients is Craft + Boogie, a local craft box subscription kit company, for whom I’ve provided hundreds of illustrations, spot lettering items and package design.
Craft + Boogie is a female-owned local business that provides beautifully curated, original, craft kits to busy families looking to connect in their down time over screen-free activities. The owner and founder, Meghan McCloskey, has a heart for making all kids feel celebrated, evident in the company’s social mission to make the kits accessible to kids in low-income schools, foster care, and children’s hospitals. It’s a joy to work with them and be at the heart of their visual identity and connection with their subscriber base.
Every month I supply the Craft + Boogie team with dozens of hand drawn icons, illustrations and lettering spots and a custom color palette for unlimited use in the creation and distribution of their incredibly detailed and thoughtful craft kits.
There are at least two coloring pages in every craft kit, also available for digital download for their subscribers, all hand drawn by me.
