These ~*nEoN piNk*~ @paperepiphanies mailers are officially out the door for @stationeryshow! • I had thought maybe this was my year to pull a collection together and get my own booth at NSS but decided it was... absolutely not the right year. Very grateful to Paper Epiphanies for asking me to participate in at least a peripheral way. Buy their cards for all the funny fun people in your life who like a well-placed curse word and some sass. 💅🏼
I've only been to Chicago twice now, both for about 24 hrs. I should probably come back. This was the last of my @DavidYurman live events! It's been a unique and fun opportunity, but it will be nice to snuggle up at home with the dog this weekend, fight off this cold, and allow me to catch up on some work and some much needed rest. Send me all your best cold-fighting techniques please and don't say ecinaecha because that stuff is snake oil.
These misty/rainy blue invitations ended up being a little too prophetic for T + J's rain-soaked wedding, but the little fun details like including their pets, @bradyandtuukka, and their sense of fun are what truly defined their big day. • (Wedding invitation orders are now being routed through Boarding School Collective, but this felt like more of a personal undertaking because these clients became friends of mine) 💙 photo by the talented @imsteph •
May your fun work trips coincide with your Favorite Person's birthday and may they be able to join you in San Francisco for a weekend of sushi and sunny walks to seek out pastries and lots of hand holding. May your work be rewarding and the people you meet very kind, and may you randomly run into two sorority sisters of yours, separately and on different days. - an obscure Irish blessing, I am pretty sure.
This view is infinitely better than working from my parents' bonus room (no offense, Mom and Dad). 🌁Feeling very grateful to be here, that the sky is so blue, excited that @mastrella7 is joining me today, and looking forward to the @davidyurman event at @bloomingdales this afternoon! • The past month has been such a series of weird "pinch me" moments- not because it's *all* been so good- but it just hasn't felt like a life I recognize as mine. The pinching helps bring me into the present, and makes me confront the reality of each day and that even though our living situation is in limbo and I have a very weird job, I'm grateful for it all and that I get to #workfromwherever.
Back in Texas for one night only! Performing the arts of my people* and ogling all the pretty sparkly things at @davidyurman here in Dallas. Up next- SF! . .

Saint Cecilia :: Patron Saint of great musicians and poets. Also a beautiful boutique hotel in Austin of whose charm this illustration barely scratches the surface. • True story: We got asked to leave by a bartender there our first SxSW in Austin because we didn't know it was only for guests. 😬 I have since been lucky enough to stay there and hang a few times but this is my first time trying to render it for a client's custom map and now I wanna go back after staring at pictures of it all day.
DAMN.🥊 New #kendricklamar is 💯.
(Okay back to my pile of wedding work from now until whenever this nuclear war with N.Korea kicks off! Happy Friday!)
Happy 101st birthday to fellow Oregonian Mrs. Beverly Cleary! 📚Working on my children's book illustration portfolio is challenging but the hope that I could maybe someday create a character half as bold, fully-formed, and relatable as Ramona Quimby is inspiration enough. Did you guys read these as kids? Are your own kids reading them still?
