Guys, meet Roxy and Boston. Rox and Boss, this is the fam. Let’s all please do our best to make them feel welcome because Boss is evidently *VERY UNSURE* about this whole situation and just needs some reassurance. 12/10 would comfort.
Just a thought! ✌🏼💕✌🏽💕✌🏾💕✌🏿 (edited to add that I wanted to credit @jemelehill for sparking this thought)
“I like my pizza with black olives, my donuts with sprinkles, and my nose not as as crooked as it is in real life.” - a very famous quote I just now said. • In between a hundred and one wedding invitation drafts and print approvals and five times as many emails this week I squeezed in a self portrait (ok and also Mozzarella who is my furry, sweeter self- but whom I couldn’t quite fit into a layout nicely!) for use on my website that I hope to update sometime before 2021 slash whichever world-ending nuclear conflict ends us all before then. • Also I just did that thing where I sent a slew of client emails in the middle of the night because when else would I work? and I always cringe when I think about clients seeing the time stamp. Anyway ok gonna go fall asleep now watching Atonement, again.
It’s like actually shocking how many times I’ve been paid to paint chickens in the four years that I’ve been doing this.
This is Bogey. Wasn’t so sure about being painted like one of my French girls, but 13/10 nailed it anyway.
Favorite detail from our time at #albrightknox this weekend: a close-up of Do Ho Suh’s Berlin apartment, reconstructed to scale with polyester fabric and stainless steel. I wanted to move in.
Man in a Candy Store (mixed media, 2017) • it’s like, no degrees out so we’re cozying up to some CULTURE here in Buffalo. #albrightknox
2018: The Year of The Art Journal.
I have been very busy stuffing my face and doing nothing, so I’m exhausted and don’t want to get into anything long and drawn out about this damn remodel. But as the year ends, I just want to express how grateful I am that 2017 and the #notquiteprimrose project is almost behind us and that actually *enjoying* this home is ahead of us.
First attempt at brush-lettering a whole run of envelopes with a Pentel Aquabrush and I'm undecided?? Results are varied but cards are out and one of them got a nose boop from the dog while it was drying so if you get that one you win. Also I freaking love this color of envelope and those stinkin perfect Ezra Jack Keats stamps so all in all I guess I'm a Christmas-card-person to my core.
