Took a Sunday off from Our Sacred Church of Home Depot for a riverside sunshine hike in Bend and feel tongues-out happy about it.
Have you read any of these? I sure haven't. But now I can say I've painted them and how many books can ya say that about? • I love this custom project and how satisfying it is to complete each spine. They're going to a great home and I am very very excited to see the finished product. 📚
One of those weeks where all the calligraphy converges into one big "700 envelopes to-do" list. All while a plumber pleasantly jackhammers out the drain for my new tub like 8 feet behind me (so zen) :: What's the new wave of obscure podcast faves to keep me going? I'm loving Goal Digger and How I Built This, just started the new season of Revisionist History, and don't want to start one that already has like a thousand episodes and inside jokes to keep up with. Any suggestions?
I found these incredible crayons at my parents' house yesterday that I'd squirreled away, oh, 25 years ago. (Hi stingiest curmudgeon child of ever. That's certainly one way not to enjoy things!) ———I'm particularly fond of the "Maize" and "Blue Gray" shades. What was your favorite crayon color?
Renovating a house is like not actually fun?? I guess I don't know why I thought it would be since it doesn't *look* fun on HGTV and I think there are actual statistics about it ruining marriages- plus I watched @grannybritt and @fedenotfreddy do it last year in Austin and somehow still was like yeah sure LET'S TAKE 'ER DOWN TO THE STUDS! REMOVE ALL THE THINGS AND TAKE ALL OF MY MONEY • BUT then again, when those two cuties finished their house and had me illustrate it for moving announcements, it not only looked so stinking good, but really serves as a functional, beautiful home that fits them and their life. • I've never been a patient person (I mean who is? Psychos that's who) but boy is this an exercise in patience. We're still months away from being in a place where we can send cute moving announcements like these but I am looking forward to that day and trying not to trip on any exposed wiring in the meantime (oh also all of our bathrooms don't have electricity right now so if you can't pee in the dark sorry you can't come over).
More like The Big Difficult when it comes to map-making, amirite? Ha. Ha. Ha. Ok bye sorry.
